Contributions should be in English. American spelling is preferred, but consistent British spelling is accepted. In exceptional cases, RMM publishes contributions in German. There is no submission fee. Submission of a contribution will be held to imply that it contains original unpublished work and is not being submitted for publication elsewhere. The editors are not responsible for damage or loss of contributions submitted.

To ensure fast turnover, all contributions are screened for suitability by the editors. After acceptance, the final version must be sent to RMM in one of the following file formats in order to allow for electronic formatting and language editing: MS Word (DOC or DOCX), LaTeX source file (TEX), OpenDocument Format (ODF), or Rich text Format (RTF). Our preferred format for text is Microsoft Word. Additionally, a PDF file of the final version must be included. When submitting the final version, authors are kindly asked to comply with RMM’s Instructions to Authors.

Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT do not meet our authorship criteria. Authorship involves accountability, which cannot be assigned to LLMs. Use of LLMs (or other AI tools) for “AI-assisted editing” need not be declared. By “AI-assisted editing,” we mean improvements to human-written text for readability, style, and correctness in grammar, spelling, and tone – without generative or independent content creation. In all cases, final responsibility remains with the human authors, who must approve the text as their own work.
